Katerina Sarri

Dr Katerina Sarri is an Economist and Professor of Business Administration–Entrepreneurship at the University of Macedonia. She is actively involved in the promotion of entrepreneurship and innovation, with a focus on startup entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems. She is the national scientific coordinator of the GUESSS project on youth entrepreneurship, coordinator of the thematic unit “Theory of Entrepreneurship & Innovation” at the Hellenic Open University, a former entrepreneur, and has worked as a Business Consultant and a member of the Board of Directors of the Ergani Center for Women’s and Youth Entrepreneurship.

She is actively involved in strengthening entrepreneurship, innovation, and the integration of women and youth into the labor market through her involvement in institutional roles. Founder and director of the Entrepreneurship Lab, UoM, Concept Founder of the Social Innovation Hackathon, Member of the National Council for Research, Technology and Innovation (NCRTI/ ΕΣΕΤΕΚ)-Ministry of Development, Member of the National Council for Gender Equality- Ministry of Socila Cohesion & Family Affiars, Member of the Scientific Committee on Workforce Skills-Ministry of Labour, Board Member of the Northern Greece Business Administration Association (EDEVE)-President the Equality Institute, Member of the Committee for Technology Transfer, Innovation, and Startups, UoM, President for Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination Committee, UoM.

For more than 30 years, she has been teaching in higher education institutions in Greece and abroad, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as in public and private sector organizations. She has served as an evaluator of academic programs and educational institutions abroad, scientific coordinator of national and European research projects, and reviewer and editor in international scientific journals, with a substantial number of citations to her published research work. She is the author or co-author of 7 academic textbooks. Her latest books is used an a textbook in more than 40 academic departments in Greek universities.

Her work focuses on connecting scientific knowledge with entrepreneurship, innovation, and social empowerment, particularly through cultivating an entrepreneurial culture, supporting startup entrepreneurship, and fostering innovation ecosystems, with a strong emphasis on preparing and enhancing the participation of youth and women in the economy and labor market.

Georgios Gkrimas is Biomechanist and Head of Gait & Motion Analysis Center in ELEPAP Athens. He is also the Programme Leader in BSc (Hons) Podiatry (in collaboration with Queen Margaret University) in Metropolitan College.

He participates actively in conference and seminars both in Greece and abroad. His presentations specifically focus on Gait Analysis, Motion Analysis & Balance. He is a member of European Society for Movement analysis in Adults and Children (ESMAC) and the Local Chair of ESMAC Athens 2023 Annual Meeting. He has been President of Hellenic Scientific Society of Physiotherapy in 2021. He is also a member of Hellenic Society of Biomechanics (HSB) and of PanHellenic Association Physical Therapy (Greece).

Katerina Gkagkaki

Katerina Gkagkaki is a Communications professional with specialized expertise in
Perception Management and Brand Image Building, and many years of career
experience in Corporate Communications, having worked consistently and with
vision for a series of years at multinational as well as and Greek companies and Non-
Profit Organizations, in senior executive and leadership positions.

In her professional career, she served for a number of years as Communications Director at Vodafone, while for 10 years she managed, with notable success, the communications strategy of all the companies of the ANTENNA Group internationally. She led the communications guidance of the NGO Apostoli, and now works as a Strategic Communications and Reputation Management Consultant for major companies in Greece and Cyprus, as well as an Image Management Consultant for personalities in business and the media industry. Since 2022, she has also headed Corporate Relations and Communications for the Open Media Group. In 2019, she was elected City Councilor in the Municipality of Athens. From 2020–2021, she served as Deputy Mayor for Extroversion and Civil Society, and from 2021 to 2023 as Deputy Mayor for Social Solidarity and Civil Society, developing programs aimed at an Athens that would belong equally to everyone, and a life within the city that everyone could enjoy with acceptance, support, and solidarity.

She studied Psychology and holds a postgraduate degrees in Social Psychology and Perception Management from the London School of Economics & Political Science.
