WELCOME TO EACD 2027

Welcome to the 39th Annual Meeting of the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD) 2027, taking place in Athens, Greece, from 9–12 June 2027, at the iconic Megaron Athens Concert Hall.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are delighted to invite you to join one of Europe’s leading multidisciplinary congresses dedicated to childhood-onset disabilities. Guided by the vision “Empowering Abilities, Building Inclusive Futures” and inspired by “Innovations that Empower Every Ability,” EACD 2027 will bring together clinicians, researchers, therapists, educators, policymakers, advocates, industry leaders, and families from across the world.

Rena Kavvadia 

Rena Kavvadia is the Head of the Marketing & Fundraising Department at ELEPAP’s Athens Branch. She graduated from the School of Philosophy at the University of Ioannina, specializing in Psychology, and holds a certificate in Marketing and Business Administration from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

With 32 years of dedicated service to ELEPAP, she has contributed significantly to advancing the organization’s mission, values, and strategic objectives. Throughout her career, she has also served for many years as Executive Assistant to ELEPAP’s Presidents, gaining extensive experience in organizational administration and executive coordination.

Her professional expertise includes the planning and coordination of scientific conferences, fundraising initiatives, charitable events, and public engagements. She is actively involved in developing and implementing fundraising strategies aimed at securing essential resources and ensuring the long-term sustainability of ELEPAP’s programs and services.

In addition, she oversees ELEPAP’s volunteer program, coordinating volunteer recruitment, training, development, and engagement. Through her work, she contributes to building a strong and dedicated volunteer community that supports ELEPAP’s mission and the children and families it serves.
